1：1 亚哈死后，摩押背叛以色列。
Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
1：2 亚哈谢在撒马利亚，1日从楼上的栏杆里掉下来，就病了。于是差遣使者说，你们去问以革伦的神巴力西卜，我这病能好不可以好。
And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber1 that was in Samaria， and was sick： and he sent messengers， and said unto them， Go， enquire2 of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
1：3 但耶和华的使者对提斯比人以利亚说，你起来，去迎着撒马利亚王的使者，对他们说，你们去问以革伦神巴力西卜，岂因以色列中没神吗。
But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite， Arise， go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria， and say unto them， Is it not because there is not a God in Israel， that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron？
1：4 所以耶和华这样说，你必不下你所上的床，一定要死。以利亚就去了。
Now therefore thus saith the LORD， Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up， but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
1：5 使者回来见王，王问他们说，你们为何回来呢。
And when the messengers turned back unto him， he said unto them， Why are ye now turned back？
1：6 使者回答说，有一个人迎着大家来，对大家说，你们回去见差你们来的王，对他说，耶和华这样说，你差人去问以革伦神巴力西卜，岂因以色列中没神吗。所以你必不下所上的床，一定要死。
And they said unto him， There came a man up to meet us， and said unto us， Go， turn again unto the king that sent you， and say unto him， Thus saith the LORD， Is it not because there is not a God in Israel， that thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron？ therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up， but shalt surely die.
1：7 王问他们说，迎着你们来对你说们这话的，是什么样的人。
And he said unto them， What manner of man was he which came up to meet you， and told you these words？
1：8 回答说，他身穿毛衣，腰束皮带。王说，这必是提斯比人以利亚。
And they answered him， He was an hairy man， and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said， It is Elijah the Tishbite.
1：9 于是，王差遣五十夫长，带领五十人去见以利亚，他就上到以利亚那里。以利亚正坐在山顶上。五十夫长对他说，神人哪，王吩咐你下来。
Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him： and， behold3， he sat on the TOP of an hill. And he spake unto him， Thou man of God， the king hath said， Come down.
1：10 以利亚回答说，我如果是神人，愿火从天上降下来，烧灭你和你那五十人。于是有火从天上降下来，烧灭五十夫长和他那五十人。
And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty， If I be a man of God， then let fire come down from heaven， and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven， and consumed him and his fifty.
1：11 王第二次差遣一个五十夫长，带领五十人去见以利亚。五十夫长对以利亚说，神人哪，王吩咐你快快下来。
Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him， O man of God， thus hath the king said， Come down quickly.
1：12 以利亚回答说，我如果是神人，愿火从天上降下来，烧灭你和你那五十人。于是神的火从天上降下来，烧灭五十夫长和他那五十人。
And Elijah answered and said unto them， If I be a man of God， let fire come down from heaven， and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven， and consumed him and his fifty.
1：13 王第三次差遣一个五十夫长，带领五十人去。这五十夫长上去，双膝跪在以利亚面前，哀求他说，神人哪，愿我的性命和你这五十个仆人的性命在你眼前看为宝贵。
And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up， and came and fell on his knees before Elijah， and besought4 him， and said unto him， O man of God， I pray thee， let my life， and the life of these fifty thy servants， be precious in thy sight.
1：14 已经有火从天上降下来，烧灭前两次来的五十夫长和他们各自带的五十人。目前愿我的性命在你眼前看为宝贵。#p#分页标题#e#
Behold， there came fire down from heaven， and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties： therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
1：15 耶和华的使者对以利亚说，你同着他下去，不要怕他。以利亚就起来，同着他下去见王，And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah， Go down with him： be not afraid of him. And he arose， and went down with him unto the king.
1：16 对王说，耶和华这样说，你差人去问以革伦神巴力西卜，岂因以色列中没神可以求问吗。所以你必不下所上的床，一定要死。
And he said unto him， Thus saith the LORD， Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron， is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word？ therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up， but shalt surely die.
1：17 亚哈谢果然去世了，正如耶和华藉以利亚所说的话。因他没儿子，他兄弟约兰接续他作王，正在犹大王约沙法的儿子约兰第二年。
So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned5 in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah； because he had no son.
1：18 亚哈谢其馀所行的事都写在以色列诸王记上。
Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did， are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel？
