生活英语|tidal bore 涌潮

很多游客都来到浙江，期望能一睹钱塘江九年来最大涌潮。

上文中的tidal bore就是涌潮。Bore在这里的意思是（由河口涌上来的）激潮，怒潮。所谓涌潮，是指因为外海的潮水进入窄而浅的mouth of the river（河口）后， 波涛激荡堆积而成。世界上最著名的涌潮就是国内的Qiantang River Tide（钱塘江大潮）。涌潮的出现时间一般在lunar calendar（阴历）的中秋节到二十，钱塘江tidal bore watching（观潮）是这个时期的热点旅游项目之一。

9月13日那天，浙江海宁出现了one-line bore（一线潮）和back-flow bore（回头潮），并出现了多年未见的cross bore（交叉潮），十分壮观。
