since attained的使用方法剖析（since后接过去分词）-之二

但我曾见过书上说 since 后面接动词的-ing形式，但不可以接过去分词。想请专家老师对此再深入解说一下——是惯使用方法？省略使用方法？还是其他什么使用方法。

1. 假如引导状语从句的“引导词”只用作连词而不需要作介词（如once, when, while, though, if, even if, unless等），它就能接过去分词而简化被动语态的状语从句。比如：

When heated, ice will be changed into water. 冰加热时，就会变成水。

once exposed to light, the film will be damaged and get useless. 一旦揭秘，胶卷就要被损毁而不可以用了。

2. 假如引导状语从句的“引导词”既可作连词也可作介词（如after, before, since等），则一般不接过去分词。如需要后面接过去分词，则应改为“being+过去分词”。请看词典例句：

A tourist was robbed after being given a drugged orange. 一名旅游者在喝了一杯动了手脚的橙汁后遭到了打劫。

The ship had listed to one side since being struck by the speedboat. 自被快艇撞了以来，这艘船就一直往一边倾斜。

▲ 所谓这种引导词“一般”不接过去分词，也就是说有“例外”状况（如until 既可作连词也可作介词）：

A man is guilty until proved innocent. 一个人只有在被证明是清白时才称得上无罪。
